Napoleon Azizyan was born on January 17, 1946 in Yerevan.
Mr. Azizyan graduated from Yerevan State University in 1971 as a commodity specialist.
From 1962-1964 he worked at the Yerevan Paper and Cardboard Industrial Complex. From 1966-1976 he worked in the commerce and public food sector. The next six years he worked first as a head of a production unit, then head of production and finally as a deputy director of the Yerevan Label and Packages Industrial Complex. From 1982-1983 he worked as a director of the Ajapnyak supermarket. In 1985 he was director of the Bjni factory. From 1986-1990 he was the director of food trading unit #8, from 1990-1991 he was the director of the Texture, Clothing and Shoeing unit, from 1991-1992 he served as director of the retail and wholesale trade stores and from 19971999 he was director of Flan Ltd.
1999-2003 was his first term as a deputy of the NA (electoral district #22) where he served as a member of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs. He was a member of both the National Unity Faction and party. On May 25, 2003 he was reelected from the proportional list of the National Unity Party and he serves on the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs. Till 2 March 2005 he was a member of the National Unity Faction. Currently he is not a member of any of the NA factions or deputy groups. He is a member of the National Unity Faction party.
Mr. Azizyan is married and has three children.
