Born on November 14, 1960 in the village of Gndevaz in the Azizbekov region (now Vayots dzor province).

1980 -1982 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1986 - Graduated from the Civil Engineering University. Technician, constructor.

1982 - 1984 - Worked in the Jermouk Vehicle Store #6.

1985 - 1986 - Head of the Jermouk station of Sourenavan Oil Store.

1986 - 1988 - Deputy to the chief doctor of the Jermouk Health Resort #4.

1988 - Administrative deputy to the chief doctor to the Jermouk Health - Resort.

1993 - Director of the “Jermuk” mineral water factory.

1996 - Mayor of Jermuk.

1999, 2002 - Reelected Mayor.

1999 - Founder President of “Jermuk Group” CJSC. Honorary Member of the Department of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia and the NGO “Yerkir Nairi.” Benefactor of newly built Saint Gayane Church in Jermuk.

2003 - 2007 - Member of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, RPA). Member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the RPA faction. RPA member.

2007 - 20012 - Member of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, RPA). Member of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the RPA faction.

2012 - 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly (electoral district #39).

Member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly. Member of the “Republican” (RPA) faction.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly by the district electoral list of the electoral district #12 of the RPA.

1999 - Awarded the Gold Medal of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.

2007 - Awarded the Honourable Medal “Saint Grigor Lusavorich” (Mother See of Holy Etcgmiadzin).

2015 - Awarded the second rank Medal “For Services Contributed to Fatherland.”
