Vahe M. Hakobyan was born on May 18, 1977 in Kajaran.

1994-1999 Mr. Hakobyan studied at the Institute of National Economy and specialized in economics. In 1999, he was admitted to the post-graduate course at the Institute of Economic Research of the Ministry of Finance and Economy at RoA. He was the president of the AVSAF, LTD council in 1999.

2000-2002 he worked as the Head of the Monitoring unit of the Monitoring and Audit Department of Ministry of State Property Management of Republic of Armenia. In 2003 he defended a scientific thesis and received a Candidate of Science degree in Economics.

2003-2004 he worked as an Executive Director of Zangezur Mining Company. He was elected as a deputy from constituent district No. 52 on June 13, 2004.

He is a member of the Standing Committee on Finance-Loan, Budget and Economic Affairs of the NA. He is not a member of any faction or deputy group but is a member of Republican Party of Armenia.

Mr. Hakobyan is married and has one child.
