She was born on September 20, 1947 in Yerevan.
In 1970 she graduated from the faculty of Physics of Yerevan State University. She is a physicist.
In 1972-1981 she worked at Yerevan school # 103 as a teacher of physics. In 1981-1989 she worked as a methodologist of the People’s Educational Division of Yerevan Shahumian region. In 1989-1998 she worked Deputy Director of Siamanto School # 162. In 1989-2007 she was director of D. Demirchian School # 27.
On May 12, 2007 she was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly by proportional electoral system from the Heritage party. She is a member of the Heritage party board.
She is a widow, has three children.
