On January 30, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia Tian Erlong.
The Head of the parliament has touched upon the friendly ties between the two peoples and the historically formed relations, which come still from Great Silk Road period. The President of the National Assembly has documented that after the establishment of diplomatic relations the Armenian-Chinese relations have dynamically developed in all spheres.
Ararat Mirzoyan expressed that the Ambassador’s activity aimed at the development and deepening of the two countries’ relations would be continuous.
In the further rapprochement of bilateral relations the President of the National Assembly highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy. Touching upon the formation of the Friendship Groups in the legislative body, Ararat Mirzoyan expressed conviction that due to the mutual visits and active cooperation of the latter the Armenian-Chinese relations would record new results of development.
Talking about the peaceful settlement process of Nagorno Karabakh problem the Head of the parliament in this issue has highlighted the balanced position of the People’s Republic of China, noting that the settlement of the problem through peaceful means is of vital importance for Armenia.
The Ambassador of China to the RA Tian Erlong, congratulating Ararat Mirzoyan on being elected Head of the parliament wished him fruitful work.
The Ambassador highly assessed the close cooperation of the friendly countries parliaments and mutual visits.
Tian Erlong has noted that Armenia is the strategic partner of China, and they are ready to make efforts for deepening the bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation and raising it to a new level in all directions.
Talking regional problems that Ambassador expressed hope that the NK conflict would be solved through peaceful means. The sides emphasized the cooperation in the cultural, educational, trade-economic, humanitarian spheres, recording with satisfaction the fact of the increase of trade turnover volume registered between the two countries.
