On May 16 the President of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan visited several big families in Aragatsotn Marz.
It is already two years that May 15 has been established by law as Family Day, on the occasion of which the Head of the Parliament accompanied by the Head of Aragatsotn Marz visited three socially vulnerable big families of rural communities of the Marz.
In Shenavan village the NA President visited the Grigoryans’ house; ten children are growing up in this big family. In Kuchak village he visited the Petrosyans’ family and their six sons, in the same village also the Yervandyans’ family, where nine children live, and their father is in military service in Nagrono Karabakh. The Head of the Parliament handed over acknowledgement letters of the National Assembly to these big families, emphasizing and highly assessing their role in the society. “The firm family is the pillar of the state,” Hovik Abrahamyan said and assured that the authorities would be next to them and would try to support by all possible means. And the rural big families’ concerns and social problems are common: the work and the salary are little, and the needs are big. For relieving these families’ problems the NA President provided them with necessary household equipment and other things, presented books, bicycles, packages full of stationery and sweets.
In Shenavan community the NA President had a short stop, talking with farmers. Hovik Abrahamyan heard the problems concerning the farmer: non-realized potato harvest, ineffective wheat seeds and expenditures on them, allocation of agricultural credits. With the participation of the Head of the Marz and the Head of the village the NA President discussed and evaluated the state of agriculture in the community and also the possible solutions. The NA President informed the residents of the community about the envisaged upcoming steps in the social sphere.
