On November 26 in Buenos Aires within the framework of the official visit the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan met with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Argentina Julian Dominguez.
Thanking for the warm reception the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan expressed confidence that the cooperation based on the friendship relations of the two countries would more strengthen and develop. In terms of strengthening of inter-state relations Hovik Abrahamyan highlighted the development and deepening of inter-parliamentary relations and the activity of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
The President of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Argentina Julian Dominguez highly assessed the political relations shaped between the two countries. He also deemed necessary the further development and deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation, expressing conviction that the official visit of the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan to Argentina would give new impetus to the bilateral cooperation. Mr Dominguez has highly appreciated the importance of the Armenian community of Argentina in the process of the development of the country and has noted that the Argentinean Armenians are exemplary citizens and by their way of living and culture serve as a best example for everybody.
The RA NA President and the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the National Congress of Argentina discussed the issues of development of economic relations of the two countries. Both sides noted the big economic potential which was not used within the limits of possibilities, and highlighted the encouragement of mutual investments.
In the course of the meeting they also touched upon the regional problems, the settlement of the NK problem and the Armenian-Turkish relations. The interlocutors expressed conviction that the conflicts should be regulated through peaceful negotiations. Both sides considered necessary the deepening of further cooperation in international structures.
