On February 13 the RA NA President Hovik Abrahamyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Kurbannazar Nazarov.
Congratulating the Ambassador on the occasion of the appointment Hovik Abrahamyan expressed hope that his activity would promote the further strengthening and deepening of the Armenian-Turkmen relations. The RA National Assembly President highlighted the development of relations between the legislative bodies of the two countries, noting that he was ready to assist the activation of the relations and the cooperation of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Kurbannazar Nazarov assured that he would use his experience for the reinforcement and development of the Armenian-Turkmen relations. In deepening of inner-state relations the Ambassador highlighted the activation of the inter-parliamentary relations and noted that in the newly elected parliament of Turkmenistan a Friendship Group with Armenia had been formed.
Both sides highlighted the development of the trade-economic relations and the cooperation in the international institutions.
During the meeting other issues were also discussed.
