Born on May 12, 1948 in Spitak.

1983 - Graduated from the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

1966 - 1969 - Worker, an engineer-constructor and chief technologist in the Spitak Sugar Factory.

1969 - 1981 - Worked as a technician and later as a skilled worker, chief engineer and Head of the Leninyan region water and sewage department under the executive committee of Yerevan City Council.

1981 - 1995 - Engineer, field Head, Deputy Director, Director in the Yerevan Plant of Chemical Reactives.

1995 - 1999 - President of the “Chimreactive” OJSC.

2001 - Presi­dent of the “Agricultural Producers and Seed Growers' Union.”

2002 - Co - Director of the NGO “Armenian Toiler.”

1990 - 1995 - Deputy of the Supreme Council (electoral district # 242.)

1995 - 1999 - Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district # 102.) Member of the “Republic” faction, and then member of “The Reforms” deputy group.

1999 - 2003 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system,  “Unity” alliance.)
