Born on April 11, 1961 in the village of Janfida in Armavir province.

1996 - Graduated from the “Ararat” University in Armavir. Lawyer.

1979 - 1981 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1989 - Took part in the Artsakh freedom fighting.

1994 - 2000 - Served in the Army of the Republic of Armenia, occupying different commanding posts. Colonel.

Awarded the "Courage" Medal of the Republic of Armenia, the "Courage" Medal of the NKR, as well as numerous Commemorative Medals of the Ministry of Defense and Yerkrapah Voluntary Union.

2007 - 2012 - Deputy of the National Assembly (electoral district #21.)

June, 19 - 2007 - May 31, 2012 - Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly.

May 6, 2012 - Elected Deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the “Prosperous Armenia” party.
