Born on July 14, 1956 in the village of Arshaluys in Echmiadzin region (now Armavir province).

1975 - 1977 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1993 - Entered the State University in Stepanakert.

1998 - Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Yerevan State University. Lawyer.

1996 - Graduated from the Higher Educational Command Training Courses of the Military Academy of the Ministry of Defense.

1988 - Participated in the Artsakh Struggle for Freedom.

1992 - Appointed Commander of the Dzorak Volunteer Battalion in Edilou (Hadrut region) of the first region of NKR Defense.

1992 - 1993 - Commander of Echmiadzin Volunteer Battalion with the Title of Captain and then Major.

1993 - Appointed Commander (Lieutenant-Colonel) of the 83rd brigade.

1994 - Received the title of Colonel.

1996 - 2000 - With the title of Major General, appointed Commander of the first corps of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

2000 - Received the title of Lieutenant General.

2000 - 2008 - Deputy to the Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia in the direction of readiness for action.

1992 - Elected Deputy of the NKR Supreme Council.

1999 - Head of the YVU Department of the Republic of Armenia.

2012 - 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia. Member of the Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs of the National Assembly. Member of the “Republican” (RPA) faction. Non - partisan.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the RPA national electoral list.

Married, with eight children.
