He was born on January 3, 1964 in the village of Alapars in Hrazdan region (Kotayk marz).

In 1985 he graduated from the faculty of electro-techniques of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. He is an engineer, electro-mechanician.

1985-1987 he worked at the trust of Charentsavanshin as chief power specialist, pluralistically taught at the college in Charentsavan. 1987-1993 he was the founder and the president of the cooperative Electron. 1987-2004 he worked at the fork-lift truck factory of Charentsavan as a power specialist, head of the electronic techniques, head of the division of the industrial electronics and automation, chief power specialist, deputy of the chief engineer, deputy director. 2001-2007 he was the general director of Yeghitsi Luys Ltd. In 2002 and 2005 he was elected an alderman of the community of Charentsavan.

He is an author of inventions and useful models.

On May 12, 2007 he was elected a deputy of the National Assembly from the electoral district #26.

He is married and has two children.
