Karen Vardanyan was born on November 30, 1976 in Yerevan.

In 1997 has graduated the department of Commerce of "Dawson" College in Montreal, Canada, and in 2001 has graduated the faculty of International Business of "Concordia" University in Montreal, and was admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Commerce.

2001-2007 was working in the television company "Hayrenik TV" as a Producer. In 2002-2007 managed Armenian-Canadian JV "Grand Candy" Co. Ltd.

On May 12, 2007 he was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation party.

He is married and has one child.
