On March 13, the participants of the visiting sitting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology held in Yerevan accompanied by the RA NA deputy Vahe Enfiajyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the 1915 Armenian Genocide victims.

The guests laid flowers at the eternal fire and honoured in silence the memory of one and a half million innocent victims.

They had been in the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, got acquainted with the documents ensuring the Armenian Genocide and observed the exhibits.

The member of the RF FA Council of Federation Alexander Weinberg noted that many years ago serving in the Soviet army he had Armenian friends, who for the first time told him about the Armenian Genocide and added:

“I was surprised that being so young they knew well the history of their own people and feel great pain.

I think that all the countries of the world, first of all Turkey, should recognize the Armenian People’s Genocide. God willing that it will never be repeated.”
