On March 13, the RA NA Deputy Speaker, the Deputy Chair of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission Eduard Sharmazanov received the members of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology and the persons accompanying them.

The RA NA deputy Vahe Enfiajyan also attended the meeting.

Welcoming the guests in the Parliament of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov highly assessed the activities of the IPA CIS and emphasized the deepening of cooperation in the frameworks of the organization. By the RA NA Deputy Speaker’s assessment, the inter-parliamentary cooperation is a good platform for the newly independent states to develop the relations with the countries of common past without losing the achievements.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker congratulated Violeta Ivanov, the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova on being re-elected in the post of the Chair of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology and wished her effective work.

Thanking for the warm reception and provision of the best conditions for holding the sitting Violeta Ivanov has noted that having the sitting held in Yerevan is appraisable not only for the harmonisation of the national legislations, but also in terms of well recognizing the country and its citizens.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker also presented to the guests the procedure of Armenia’s transition to the parliamentary government, touched upon the upcoming inauguration of the RA newly elected President Armen Sargsyan and the process of the Prime Minister’s election.
