At May 29 joint sitting of the RA National Assembly Standing Committees, the debates of the annual report on Execution of the RA State Budget for 2017 began, where the RA NA Speaker Ara Babloyan, the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the RA NA Deputy Speaker Mikayel Melkumyan, the RA NA deputies and the members of the RA Government took part.

The Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan presented the main macro-economic indices of the report, the formation of the budgetary incomes, the tax and customs policy, the expenditures, the deficit and the report of the Ministry of Finance. The Chairman of the RA Central Bank (CB) Artur Javadyan presented the RA CB conclusion and the report on the execution of the CB administrative expenditures and capital investments for 2017. The Member of the RA Audit Chamber Ara Nranyan presented the conclusion of the RA Audit Chamber on the report.

The MPs’ questions were addressed to the efficiency of the budget execution, the transparency of the expenditure programmes, the inefficient expenditures, the impact of the economic policy, the steps taken in the poverty reduction, etc.
