Budgetary Debates Continue at RA NA Standing Joint Committees

On May 31, at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Naira Zohrabyan and Gagik Minasyan debated the annual report on Execution of RA State Budget for 2017.

The RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan noted that 20 programmes being implemented at the expense of the credit means had been designed in the budget.

The RA Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Papikyan, presenting the political component of the executive sheet of the revenue expenditures, underlined that the year 2017 was one of the most significant years in the last 25-year history of the relations between the RA and the EU: within the framework of the 5th Summit of the Eastern Partnership the EU-RA Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement was signed. The parties negotiated and adopted the document Partnership Priorities.

The representatives of the sphere also answered the MPs’ raised issues, which related to the technical and copyright control of the programme implementation, the necessity of holding of the audit concerning the budget execution sheet, the visa liberalization process, the Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) operation and the activities of the Central Bank.

On the same day at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration and Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Vardevan Grigoryan and Gagik Minasyan the Annual Report on Execution of the RA State Budget for 2017 was debated. It related to the regional government bodies, community donations, the spheres of agriculture and environment.

The RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan noted that the allocations from the state budget to the abovementioned spheres in the current year had been done on time and completely.

The Minister of Agriculture Artur Khachatryan, the RA Minister of Nature Protection Erik Grigoryan, the RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren Papikyan, the First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan answered the MPs’ questions.

The responsible officials of the RA all marzes presented the financial programmes implemented by the municipalities last year.
