1 / 2

On September 24, the delegation led by the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, comprised of the RA NA deputies Tigran Urikhanyan and Tatshat Vardapetyan met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreychenko in Minsk.

During the meeting the sides highlighted the joint meeting of the Armenian-Belarus Inter-Parliamentary Committee and the cooperation in the CSTO, CIS and OSCE Parliamentary Assemblies. They touched upon the development of bilateral relations within the framework of the EEU.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker presented the most important items of the RA foreign political agenda, underlining that the effective facing of challenges of security is of key importance for our country. In this context Eduard Sharmazanov referred to the peaceful settlement of the NK conflict, once again reaffirming the Armenian side’s position: the problem should be settled in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship on the basis of three well-known principles.

“The only obstacle of the progress in the negotiations is the deconstructive position of Azerbaijan. That state refuses the complete execution of the right of Artsakh people’s self-determination meanwhile the settlement of the conflict should guarantee the execution of Artsakh people’s inseparable rights. Artsakh has as much right, as Armenia, Belarus and Azerbaijan,” the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said.
