At October 16 sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs debated and endorsed three legislative initiatives authored by a group of the MPs of the RA NA Tsarukyan which would be included in the draft law of the agenda of the NA regular sittings.

The bill on Amending the RA Labour Code was debated in the second reading procedure.

The bill on Amending the RA Law on Trade Unions, presented by the co-author Gevorg Petrosyan was debated in the first reading.

The bill on Making Addendum to the RA Labour Code was also debated in the first reading.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Arsen Manukyan has informed that the government is not against the draft law in principle.

On the same day at the extraordinary sitting the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations debated and approved the Rules of Procedure of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Partnership Committee.

The Committee was founded on the basis of Article 365 of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, to which the European Parliament gave its consent on July 4, 2018.

The Committee Chair Armen Ashotyan has noted that the goal of the Committee is to discuss all the directions of the EU-Armenia relationship, particularly the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement. According to him, the first sitting of the Committee will be held at the end of October.
