On October 23, in Saint Petersburg the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov.
The sides discussed the perspectives of the development of the Armenian-Russian alliance relations, touched upon the development of the relations and the regional cooperation in the frameworks of the CSTO and the EEU. Eduard Sharmazanov underlined the role of the Armenian community of Saint Petersburg in the development of bilateral relations and from the first day of the foundation of Petersburg the Armenians were of an essential importance in the cultural, political and public life of the city, strengthening the Armenian-Russian friendship. In that context the interlocutors underscored the opening of the memorial plaque of the prominent General of Armenian origin Loris Melikov in Saint Petersburg, and the initiators were Eduard Sharmazanov and Vyacheslav Makarov.
The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg in his turn emphasized the contribution of the RA NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov in the development of the Armenian-Russian relations.
