Ararat Mirzoyan Receives UAE Ambassador to Armenia

On March 6, the President of the RA National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Armenia Mohamed Al Zaabi,

Ararat Mirzoyan congratulated Mohamed Al Zaabi on being appointed Ambassador to Armenia, expressing conviction that during his tenure the Ambassador will use at best his professional capabilities for the further rapprochement and enlivening of the ties between the two countries.

In the context of the political dialogue the Head of the legislative body highlighted the role and importance of the parliamentary diplomacy, underlining that in the future Armenia-United Arab Emirates Parliamentary Friendship Group would be formed.

Touching upon the Armenia-UAE relations, the NA President underlined the work of the Inter-Governmental Committee in boosting the trade-economic cooperation.

“The United Arab Emirates can be a window for Armenia within the frameworks of cooperation with the Gulf countries, and Armenia in its turn can be a bridge for the EEU countries and markets,” Ararat Mirzoyan underscored.

The Head of the RA Parliament assured that the newly elected National Assembly would continue the effective cooperation in the activation of bilateral relations.

The UAE Ambassador expressed conviction that he would make efforts in boosting bilateral relations for the benefit of the friendly people. He greatly emphasized the role of the Armenian community in the UAE in strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, as well as the participation in the development of the country.

The sides referred to the existing potential of cooperation in different spheres, particularly distinguished the spheres of newest technologies and tourism, talked about the opportunities created in our country in the development of entrepreneurship and the implementation of investments and the formed favourable atmosphere.
