On April 25, the Head of the RA NA My Step Faction Lilit Makunts met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Armenia Kai Kaarelson (residence in Tbilisi).

The Head of the Faction has noted that though an Embassy is presented in Armenia, however there are wide opportunities of bilateral cooperation. She highlighted the further development of the inter-parliamentary relations and the role of the Friendship Groups in that issue. The parliament has been newly formed in Estonia and a joint meeting within the framework of the Friendship Group is designed. Lilit Makunts has expressed conviction that the RA National Assembly is ready for the close cooperation with Estonia and the implementation of the new initiatives.

Touching upon the opportunities of the efficiency rise of the trade-economic potential use between the two countries, the Ambassador Kai Kaarelson highlighted the necessity of the exchange of experience in the spheres of culture, science, education, high technologies and innovations. She has documented that there is still unused great potential of deepening the Armenian-Estonian cooperation.

Within the framework of the RA-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership issues concerning the legislative initiatives were also discussed.
