On May 28, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan and the Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN Mher Margaryan and the Special Adviser of the UN Secretary General on the Prevention of Genocide Adama Dieng in New York.

The sides touched upon Armenia's active cooperation of the Special Adviser of the UN Secretary General on the Prevention of Genocide and the latter's Office and jointly implementing the initiatives. The Third Global Forum Against Crime of Genocide held in Armenia on December 9-11, 2018, organized jointly with the participation of the Office of the Special Adviser of the UN Secretary General on the Prevention of Genocide and the Special Adviser Adama Dieng, was mentioned.

Ruben Rubinyan reflected upon the steps aimed at raising the awareness of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, including the Resolution initiated in the UN by Armenia on Declaring December 9 as The International Day of Commemoration and Dignity of The Victims of the Crime of Genocide and of the Prevention of This Crime . The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations underlined the necessity of fighting against denialism and condemning the statements violating the memory and dignity of the genocide victims in the context of preventing the further crimes against humanity.
