Parliament by Voting Passes Debated Bills

On June 4, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the regular sittings and by voting passed the bills debated on the previous day.

Under the constitutional law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly the parliament made a decision to hold the RA NA additional sitting on the same day, after the end of the regular sittings at 18:30-20:00 to continue the debate of the items included in the agenda of the regular sittings.

According to the RA NA Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan, the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Cooperation of the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in the sphere of the Information Security Provision will be included in the agenda of the NA next regular sittings, as the key speaker is on business trip.

Afterwards the debate of the annual report on the RA Central Bank Activity , the interrupted item continued on the previous day.

On behalf of the RA NA Bright Armenia Armen Yeghiazaryan delivered a speech.

Mikayel Melkumyan touched upon the problems of the bank system from the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction.

In his final speech the Chairman of the RA Central Bank Artur Javadyan related to the deputies’ concerns and questions.

The parliament debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Military and the Serviceman’s Status for passing in the second reading and completely.

The draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Compulsory Enforcement of Judicial Acts authored by the NA deputy Sergey Bagratyan was debated in the first reading.

The Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Anna Karapetyan in her speech welcomed the initiative and informed that the Committee endorsed the draft law.

The RA Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan also welcomed the regulation being proposed by the initiative.

The RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan in the first reading presented for debate the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Compulsory Enforcement of Judicial Acts in the first reading.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Nikolay Baghdasaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The legislative initiative on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Diplomatic Service was also debated in the first reading.

The deputy Tatevik Hayrapetyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.

Afterwards the RA draft law on Ratifying the Protocol on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Agreement of 22 January 1993 on Cooperation in the Sphere of Prevention of Emergency Situations of Natural and Technically Created Character and Elimination of Consequences presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Harutyunyan was debated.

The NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security gave an endorsement on the draft law.
