Members of Friendship Group Host U.S. Ambassador to RA

On September 6, the members of the RA NA Friendship Group Armenia-USA met with the U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Lynne Tracy.

The Head of the RA NA Friendship Group Armenia-USA Lilit Makunts highlighted the visit of the Group to the United States being scheduled in the near future.

During the meeting a number of legislative initiatives included in the agenda of the autumn session, particularly the judicial-legal, economic reforms, Electoral Code and the draft law on Parties were touched upon.

The Head of the Friendship Group Lilit Makunts thanked Lynne Tracy for the numerous programs being implemented in Armenia by the U.S. Government. She expressed hope that in the near future the bilateral relations would be deepened in the Armenia-U.S. parliamentary diplomatic frameworks.

The Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Ruben Rubinyan has emphasized the Armenia-U.S. relations and noted that after the revolution he expects more active cooperation.

The U.S. Ambassador Lynne Tracy noted that she would look forward to forming close ties with the Parliamentary Friendship Group Armenia-USA and the Committee on Foreign Relations to continue expanding and deepening the relations of our two countries.
