1 / 5

On September 27, on the initiative of the Working Group on Electoral Reforms in the National Assembly issues on the creation, registration, suspension and banning of parties were debated, where the RA NA deputies, the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Tigran Mukuchyan, the representatives and experts of the NGOs took part.

The participants touched upon some provisions of the RA Law on Parties and Electoral Code. They particularly debated issues on the demand of the territorial representation, the digital restriction of the membership, the re-registration of the parties and more liberalisation of the activity conditions.

The Coordinator of the Working Group of the Electoral Reforms Hamazasp Danielyan assessed effective the works of the Group, noting that in the future they would also refer to the controversial provisions. The MP also informed about the next thematic meetings and the parliamentary hearings to be held on October 18.
