On October 7, the Head of the RA NA Armenia-USA Friendship Group met with the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives Jackie Kanchelian-Speier and Judy Chu.

Welcoming the guests Lilit Makunts has noted that the U.S. is one of the important partners of Armenia. According to the Head RA NA Armenia-USA Friendship Group, the inter-parliamentary cooperation has an important place on the agenda of the Armenian-American relations.

The interlocutors evaluated the role of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues in the development and strengthening of the relations between the two countries.

Lilit Makunts has emphasized the fact that after the Velvet revolution happened in Armenia the democratic changes find support in the United States.

The guests have thanked Lilit Makunts for the reception and have noted that they want to cooperate in all spheres.

The parties exchanged ideas on the ongoing reforms of different spheres in Armenia and the issues aimed at its support by the United States.
