At Sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security

At November 29 sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security moderated by Andranik Kocharyan the bill on Amending the RA Law on Operative-Intelligence Activity authored by the RA NA deputies Armen Khachatryan and Sipan Pashinyan was debated.

The Government gave negative conclusion to the draft law.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan informed that the RA Law on Operative-Intelligence Activity would be revised.

The NA deputy Tigran Karapetyan highlighted the necessity of the draft law and called on the attendees to vote for the draft law. The Committee endorsed the bill.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on the Disciplinary Statute of the RA Armed Forces authored by the RA Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan was debated. The draft law was endorsed.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Compensation of the Damages Caused to the Servicemen’s Life or Health during the RA Defense proposes to envisage compensation on the Persons with Disabilities of Third Group during Military Actions.

The RA NA deputy Gevorg Gorgisyan, the RA Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan, the deputies Kristine Poghosyan and Andranik Kocharyan expressed their views on the draft law. The Committee endorsed the draft law.

The deputies also endorsed in the second reading the debated the package of draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Security of Road Traffic and to the RA Code on Administrative Offences.

The debated bills were proposed to include in the draft agenda of the upcoming regular sittings.

The debate of the draft law on Amending the RA Law on Military Service and Serviceman’s Status authored by the RA NA deputy Nikolay Baghdasaryan was postponed because of the key speaker’s absence.
