On June 29 RA NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan received Christopher Westdal, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Canadian Confederation in Armenia.
During the meeting the perspectives of deepening the Armenian-Canadian inter-state and inter-parliamentary relations were discussed. By the request of the Ambassador RA NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan informed about the processes of constitutional and legislative reforms taking place in Armenia and deepening of democracy.
Highlighting the role of the parliament in the taking place processes, Christopher Westdal, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Canadian Confederation in Armenia, noted that the political successes and the economic growth open good perspectives for the development in Armenia and expressed readiness of his country to promote the economic development of Armenia, Canadian-Armenian scientific, educational and cultural cooperation.
During the meeting the invitation of the official visit of Artur Baghdasaryan, RA NA Speaker to Canada, was re-affirmed, the details related to the visit were discussed.
