On April 10, the regular sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs moderated by Narek Zeynalyan was held.

The RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan presented the report on the procedure of the Government programme of the Republic of Armenia approved by the decision N 65-A of 8 February 2019 and its results.

According to Zaruhi Batoyan, during the financial period in the republic the average monthly salary has been increased by 5.8%/

The Government invested numerous programmes and implemented legislative regulations to give an opportunity to the citizens to get rid of their lasting dependence from the state support and have dignified and personal earning.

The RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan presented the programmes implemented in the sphere of health during the financial period.

The ministers answered to the MPs’ voiced numerous questions.

Afterwards the Committee debated in the second reading and endorsed the legislative package on Amending the Law on State Pensions authored by the RA NA deputies Narek Zeynalyan, Hayk Konjoryan and the bill on Making Amendment to the RA Law on the RA State Awards and Honorary Titles.

The bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Medicine authored by the RA NA deputy Sisak Gabrielyan was debated in the second reading.

According to the author, after passing the bill in the first reading there have been meetings and debates with the concerned persons relating to the issue.

After the debate the author of the bill proposed to postpone the debate of it for additionally working and studying.

The debates of the legislative package on Amending the RA Law on Psychiatric Aid authored by the RA Government and the bill on Making Addenda to the Law on State Pensions authored by the RA NA deputies Shirak Torosyan and Armen Pambukhchyan.

The legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on State Pensions authored by the RA Government was debated in the first reading and endorsed.

The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Smbat Saiyan has noted that the goal of the package of the draft laws is the rise of the efficiency of the payment of the pensions and care allowance.

The bill on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on State Allowances authored by the deputy of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction Mikayel Melkumyan was debated in the first reading.

Mikayel Melkumyan informed that he accepted the proposals presented by the Government.

The draft law was endorsed by the Standing Committee.

The bill on Making Addenda and Amendments to the RA Law on Employment authored by the Government presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs was debated in the first reading and was endorsed.
