At Sitting of RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs

On May 25, the work of the regular sitting of May 23 moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs continued.

The Committee in the second reading debated and endorsed the draft law on Making Amendments to the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the RA Government.

As the RA Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Edvard Hovhannisyan informed, the RA NA deputy Sergey Atomyan presented recommendations on the bill.

The bill on Making Addendum to the RA Civil Procedure Code authored by the RA NA deputies Gevorg Petrosyan, Shake Isayan, Janibek Hayrapetyan, Arayik Aghababyan was not endorsed with 3 against, 3 abstained and 4 for votes.

The draft law on Making Addenda and Amendment to the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the RA NA deputies Nikolay Baghdasaryan, Sona Ghazaryan was debated in the second reading.

The Committee presented endorsement on the draft law.

The draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the RA NA deputies Nikolay Baghdasaryan, Arusyak Julhakyan was debated in the second reading and was endorsed.

Afterwards the draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the Government, presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan was debated.

Highlighting the idea of the bill, the RA NA deputy Nikolay Baghdasaryan called on the attendees to vote for it and presented a number of recommendations, urging them to touch upon it from the first to the second reading. The draft law was endorsed.

The Committee debated in the second reading and endorsed the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Securities Market authored by the Government.

The package of the draft laws on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Notary Office presented by the RA First Deputy of Justice Rafik Grigoryan was debated in the first reading.

The draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Civil Code authored by the RA Government was debated.

The Committee approved the draft laws.

The legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional Law on referendum authored by the RA NA deputy Vahagn Hovakimyan was debated in the first reading.

The co-reporter, the Committee Deputy Chair Anna Karapetyan presented also a number of recommendations, which were accepted by the author.

The Deputy Minister of Justice Vahe Danielyan presented the recommendations of the Government, noting that almost all recommendations were accepted.

The draft laws was endorsed, and the author proposed to hold the second reading of the bill within 24 hours after passing it in the first reading.

The RA NA deputy Hamazasp Danielyan’s another legislative package gave an opportunity to the parliament for organizing also the elections of the Constitutional Court judges at the extraordinary sitting, if necessary.

According to the Deputy Chair of the Committee Anna Karapetyan, a number of recommendations were presented, and the author accepted them.

The package of the draft laws was endorsed.
