At September 22 extraordinary sitting moderated by Narek Zeynalyan, the RA NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs debated in the second reading and endorsed the law on Amending the Law on Social Support and the enclosed package of the draft laws passed in the first reading at the extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly held on the same day.

The RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has undertaken structural changes in the sphere of social support, having the goal to create a united system of assessing the social needs with essentially new content.

The RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Anna Zhamakochyan informed that after the first reading the NA deputy Artak Manukyan presented two recommendations, and they were accepted.

The main rapporteur proposed to extend the term of entering into force the legislative package until 1 April 2021.

The Committee members expressed their viewpoints, being for the recommendations.
