National Assembly Convenes Extraordinary Sitting

On November 2, the National Assembly convened an extraordinary sitting in accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and Article 41 of the Constitutional Law of the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, by the established agenda of the initiator, the Government. Under the decision made by the parliament, the debate of the agenda items in the second reading will be held after passing them in the first reading within twenty-four hours.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan presented for debate in the first reading the draft law on Making Amendment to the RA law on Local Self-Government, noting that conditioned by the martial law a necessity arose to make amendment to the law.

Afterwards the draft law on Making Amendment to the RA law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan was debated in the first reading.

The draft laws were passed in the first reading. The debate of these draft laws in the second reading will be held on November 3 at 13:00.
