On November 4, at the joint sitting of the RA NA Standing Committees on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Ani Samsonyan and Arkady Khachatryan the financial allocations designed to the Staff of the Human Rights Defender by the RA draft law on the RA State Budget for 2021 were debated.

The RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan informed that during the current year, the loading of the Staff had increased conditioned by the expansion of the activities of the spheres and the situation created during these days. Making parallels with the previous years, Arman Tatoyan underlined that the complaints addressed to the Staff of the Human Rights Defender had increased, and the number of the positively solved cases had increased three times.

The RA Human Rights Defender has noted that at this moment the organization keeps under its attention the attacks against the peaceful settlements of our country by the armed forces of Azerbaijan. “It is evident that I mean the targeted armed attacks against the population and peaceful settlements of both Artsakh and Armenia,” Arman Tatoyan underlined. According to the rapporteur, rocket attacks against the settlements of RA two marzes/regions – Gegharkunik and Syunik have been recorded.

As the rapporteur has informed, they cooperate with the Staff of the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh and carry out joint fact-finding activities.
