Armenia Actively Involved in the Work of EEU

At March 17 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan presented the results of the structure implemented by the Government programme for 2020.

The rapporteur referred to the economic and social support programmes implemented in the framework of COVID, the measures directed to prevent the spread of COVID 19.

“Armenia has continued its active involvement in the work of EEU. By joining the EEU, Armenia had a 5-year transition period, during which the reduced customs duties on about 900 products were applied. As a result of the general foreign economic policy, the increase of the designed customs duties was postponed for another year,” Varos Simonyan concluded.
