At March 19 extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, the law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Constitutional Law of the RA Judicial Code and the package of the enclosed draft laws authored by Vladimir Vardanyan, Anna Karapetyan, Artur Davtyan, Vahagn Hovakimyan and Sergey Atomyan were debated in the second reading.
Vladimir Vardanyan noted that two amendments and addenda designed in the Administrative and Civil Judicial Codes were removed from the package of draft laws. Disputable provisions related to the disputes and bases for disciplinary responsibility were removed. The proposals of the colleagues of the Ministry of Justice were summarized.
The Deputy Chair of the Committee Anna Karapetyan informed that the Government did not appoint a representative on this issue, however the Deputy Minister of Justice Armen Hovhannisyan worked with the members of the communities participating in the revision works.
According to Nikolay Baghdasaryan, all controversial issues raised during the first reading of the plenary sitting were solved.
The revised draft law was endorsed.
