On April 7, the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs in the first reading debated the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Law on Ensuring the Unity of Measurements presented by the RA Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan. The initiative is aimed at maintaining the safety and legal requirements in the field of the unity of measurements, preventing violations of the defined metrological rules and norms and strengthening the metrological control over the measuring tools imported to the RA territory.

The draft law was endorsed as a result of debate.

The bill on Making Addenda to the Law on Customs Service authored by the Government was debated in the first reading. According to the SRC Chairman Edvard Hovhannisyan, it is directed to invest various forms of customs control at the RA state border checkpoints. The bill will provide an opportunity to expand the participation of cynologists and service dogs in case of implementing investigative actions.

The draft law was endorsed, and it would be included in the draft agenda of the sixth session of the NA seventh convocation.

The SRC Chairman presented the draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Tax Code in the first reading too. That will ensure the application of the agreement provisions and the regulations of the traceability mechanism on Ratification of the Agreement on Traceability Mechanism of Goods Imported to the Customs Area of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The draft law was proposed to include in the draft agenda of a session and regular sittings by the endorsement.
