On April 28, at the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment , the package of the draft laws on Making Amendments and Addendum to the RA Law on Local Self-Government in the City of Yerevan authored by the Government was debated.
The RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan, presenting the main amendments, noted that it is proposed to replace the vacancy of the Chief Architect in the city of Yerevan with the vacancy of the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan. It has been noted that the Mayor of Yerevan will have a deputy who will coordinate the units in the field of architecture and urban development.
As a result of the adoption of the presented legislative bill, the issue of having a Deputy Mayor in the city of Yerevan as a coordinator in the field of architecture and urban development will be regulated which will give an opportunity to implement the authorities given to the Mayor of Yerevan more effectively in the mentioned fields.
The legislative package was endorsed.
