Parliament Passes in the Second Reading and Completely the Debated Initiatives

On April 28, at the NA extraordinary sitting the legislative package designing amendments and addenda to the RA Criminal Code authored by the NA deputy Vahagn Hovakimyan was debated for passing in the second reading and completely.

The key rapporteur Vahagn Hovakimyan informed that the proposals submitted by the Government were passed. They mainly refer to complying the terms being used in the codes on Criminal and Administrative offences with the Electoral Code. The new Article 154.10 was removed from the draft law on the RA Criminal Code, which proposed to set out criminal responsibility for publishing false information on the party (alliance of parties) or candidate taking part in the elections.

The member of the Standing (Head) Committee on State and Legal Affairs Arusyak Julhakyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Armen Hovhannisyan noted that the proposals submitted by the executive committee were passed, and the Government has no objection on the initiative.

The draft law on Amending the RA Tax Code authored by the deputies of the NA My Step Faction Sisak Gabrielyan, Alen Simonyan, Babken Tunyan, Karen Hambardzumyan was also debated in the second reading.

Sisak Gabrielyan noted that there were no proposals during the period from the first to the second reading.

The member of the Standing (Head) Committee on Economic Affairs Hayk Gevorgyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.

The parliament passed the initiatives in the second reading and completely.

Covering the agenda the National Assembly ended the work of the extraordinary sitting.
