At May 7 NA sitting, the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan presented the designing Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Road Transport and the enclosed ones.

“Corresponding to the requirements of the Agreement Concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles Engaged in International Road Transport, the digital tachograph system has been invested in the RA from 2011 which is applied only in the buses engaged in the interstate transport and in trucks,” Simonyan informed.

It is proposed to define daily and weekly rest and work periods of time of drivers which will give an opportunity to facilitate the control of the transport, in case of which the digital tachograph will be applied.

There will be exceptions too, in case of which the digital tachograph system will not be applied.

In the co-report, the Committee member Hayk Tsirunyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs. He urged to vote in favor of the amendments and addenda.
