Parliament Convenes Extraordinary Sitting

Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and Article 41 of the Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, at the initiative of the Government on June 3, the parliament convened an extraordinary sitting.

The Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gabrielyan presented the NA draft decision on Special Procedure of Debate of the NA Extraordinary Sitting Agenda Items. 14 items were included in the agenda, and it was proposed to organize the debate of the draft laws in the second reading in the second reading within 24 hours after the adoption of them in the first reading.

After passing the agenda the RA Deputy Minister of Health Gevorg Simonyan introduced the draft law on Ratifying the Additional Financing Credit Agreement for Disease Prevention and Control Project signed on 18 February 2021 between the Republic of Armenia and the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development with 7.4mln USD. In the framework of the presented Credit Agreement it is designed to implement the construction works of the hospital building, as well as to complete the construction works of Martuni Medical Centre new building. The issue of replenishing the centres with relevant necessary medical equipment is also included in the project. Presenting details from the Credit Project and underlining the topicality of the adoption the speaker proposed the MPs to vote for the draft law.
