Goal of Improvement Being Proposed to Law on Public Service is More Effective Organization of Investigative Committee Work

At June 9 sitting, the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs debated the legislative package on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Public Service and on Making Addenda to the RA Law on Remuneration of the Persons Occupying State Posts and State Service Posts.

As the Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Arsen Ayvazyan has assessed, the goal is to more effectively organize the work of the Investigative Committee. After amending the law on Investigative Committee, and the Committee Chairman should approve the structure of the Committee and its staff list. At the preparatory phase of implementing the work, however, the Investigative Committee recorded the legislative gap. The problem is that the discretionary posts are not designed.

The co-rapporteur had no objections on the draft law.

The Committee endorsed the legislative package. The Committee made a decision to propose organizing the debate of the item in the second reading after passing it in the first reading within 24 hours.

The debates of the legislative package on Making Addenda to the law on the Structure and the Activities of the Government and the bill on Amending the RA Law on the RA Holidays and Memorial Days were postponed.

The draft law on Making Addenda and Amendment to the RA Administrative Procedure Code which was endorsed.
