At June 9 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs, the draft law on Making Addendum to the RA Law on State Non Commercial Organizations authored by the deputies Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and Hovhannes Hovhannisyan was debated. According to Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, there are State Non Commercial Organizations (SNCO) different functions in Armenia, which stemming from profile features, need more professional regulations of key importance, than it is designed by Article 16 of the law. According to the functioning law, an opportunity to the authorized bodies, depending on the features of the sphere, set other bases of the suspension of the director’s authorities. The mentioned fact reduces the role of the authorized bodies, in terms of measuring and raising the directors’ work efficiency. In fact, the authorized body does not have an opportunity to set other bases of suspension of the authorities by the sphere regulating laws, because of which the work is not done often by the directors, for which he is appointed or elected in the director’s post.

An opportunity will be created by the proposing amendment to set visible standards for raising the efficiency and accountability of the SNCO directors’ activity by the relevant sphere regulating laws.

The revised draft law was endorsed.
