1 / 1

At June 30 NA extraordinary session, the RA Acting Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan presented the annual report on the RA State Budget Execution for 2020.

According to the RA Acting Minister of Finance, the year 2020 had been unique in terms of negative developments. The programme basis of the state budget – the logic of the tax-budgetary policies of the economic development – had been completely built over the priorities of the Government programme. During the financial year, it was necessary to touch upon the review of the priorities and accordingly, the implementation of the amendments in the document in the framework of the authorities reserved to the Government for adequately responding to the created situation. “During the year review of the priorities should inevitable take place,” Atom Janjughazyan noted.

The Governor of the Central Bank (CB) Martin Galstyan made a co-report on the document. He introduced the CB endorsement on the annual report of the state budget execution for 2020.

The Chairman of the Audit Chamber (AC) Levon Yolyan presented the AC endorsement on the report.

The Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs Artak Manukyan informed with his co-report that the document was debated in detail at the NA Standing Committees. The NA deputy underlined that in parallel with two crises all forecasts and observations were wrong: “Armenia succeeded to ensure rather high macro-economic stability.”

The Committee Chair of the NA Standing Committee Andranik Kocharyan made a co-report.

According to the MP, the debates in closed format at the Committee related to the sections of the budget execution, which had rectifications in the frameworks of the 2020 processes’ logic.

In his final speech the RA Acting Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan referred to the voiced interpellations and gave clarifications.
