On November 7 RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan received Lilian Keshishian, Chairwoman of the Standing Committee on Tourism, member of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Republic of Uruguay, who is in Yerevan for the participation in the celebration of the 15^th anniversary of the Armenian Parliament.

Mrs. Keshishian expressed satisfaction for the official celebration of the 15^th anniversary of the parliament and the festive events and told the President of the National Assembly about the Armenian community of Uruguay, consisting of 13.000 members, which was mainly formed after 1915 Armenian Genocide. The Armenian MP from Uruguay noted that signatures are collected to apply Turkey to recognize the Armenian Genocide, lift the blockade and establish diplomatic relations with Armenia.

NA President Artur Baghdasaryan thanked the parliament of Uruguay for the adoption of the resolution on the Armenian Genocide and Mrs. Keshishian for her efforts in favour of Armenians. They also discussed perspectives of the development of inter-parliamentary ties.

During the meeting other issues were also discussed.
