On August 16, the extraordinary sitting of the RA NA Council presided over by the Head of the Parliament Alen Simonyan was held. The item of the nomination for the Deputy Chairs of the Standing Committees of the NA eighth convocation was on the agenda.

Pursuant to the resolution set by Article 138 of the Constitutional Law - the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the Heads of the factions of the National Assembly presented their decisions on nominating the Deputy Chairs of the Standing Committees of the eighth convocation.

The Civil Contract Faction will nominate the Deputy Chairs of the NA Standing Committees on Economic Affairs, on Regional and Eurasian Integration, on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs, on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture and Environment Protection, on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport, on European Integration, on Health Care and on State and Legal Affairs, the Armenia Faction – the Standing Committees on Defense and Security, on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs, on Labor and Social Affairs, and With Honor Faction - the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.
