On August 20, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs Heriknaz Tigranyan met with the members of the Leadership Club functioning in Vayots Dzor at the initiative of Sose Women’s Issues NGO.
The representative of Sose Women’s Issues NGO Liana Sahakyan informed that the visit of the members of the Leadership Club of Gegharkunik marz to the parliament was organized in the framework of the Women’s Empowerment for Community Engagement programme.
The organization implemented a number of programmes in the communities, trying to make women’s role influential in the process of making decisions in the communities. With the help of seminars, an attempt is made to promote the women’s involvement in the processes of the community management.
Heriknaz Tigranyan, welcoming the guests, presented the activities of the parliament, spoke about the need to create a Standing Committee on Labor and Social Affairs of the NA eighth convocation.
The MP answered to the questions which were related to the economic and social programmes, the steps promoting youth engagement and the expecting important legislative initiatives.
