On October 8, during the parliamentary briefings following the regular sittings of the RA National Assembly. the deputy Vahagn Aleksanyan from the RA NA Civil Contract touched upon the issue of not electing Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security.
As the deputy has clarified, the Committee Deputy Chair has only authority of moderating the sitting, in case of the Chair’s absence. And why do they not elect the candidate Artur Ghazinyan, Vahagn Aleksanyan enumerated a number of factors, has also noted that he absolutely has not knowledge on armed forces, adding that the candidate has not clarified the sources of his financial means. According to Vahagn Aleksanyan, Artur Ghazinyan made a number unacceptable statements. “We have not a desirable candidate, we have undesirable candidate: that is Artur Ghazinyan,” the deputy summed up.
