On November 25 RA NA President met Senator Pierre Chevalier, Special Representative of Foreign Minister of Belgium to OSCE in 2006.

By Mr. Chevalier’s request NA President Artur Baghdasaryan presented the process of constitutional and other reforms taking place in Armenia and highlighted the role of OSCE in the reforms taking place in Armenia and in the region, underscoring that during the period of Belgian presidency good opportunities will be created for the settlement of regional political and economic issues: in particular for the restoration of Kars-Gyumri-Tbilisi-Baku railway communication, which will promote the development of the whole region and the formation of the regional cooperation. During the meeting both sides also touched upon the Nagorno Karabakh problem, they noted that good opportunities have been created for the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

During the meeting the sides also highlighted the progress of Armenia-Belgium bilateral relations, discussed other issues of bilateral interest.
