Alen Simonyan Meets with President of National Assembly of Slovenia

On October 21, the RA NA President Alen Simonyan met with the President of the National Assembly of Slovenia Igor Zorčič.
Alen Simonyan highlighted the friendly relations with Slovenia and the effective cooperation of legislative bodies. In this context the interlocutors underlined the necessity of the deepening the cooperation, and the close cooperation of the Friendship Groups to be formed in parliaments will also promote this.
Alen Simonyan has highly assessed the balanced approach of Slovenia in the NK problem, by which backing the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group Chairs and the EU common position.
The NA President expressed his gratitude to the Slovenian side for the proposal of providing humanitarian aid to the Armenian soldiers who received heavy fracture injury.
The sides discussed the perspectives of cooperation in the frameworks of the international organizations and the European structures.
The RA NA President invited the President of Parliament of Slovenia to Armenia on an official visit.
